چکیده
The prices of aggregate are increasing in India due to the massive demand for natural infrastructure development. An attempt has been made check feasibility past developed technique developing angular-shaped light-weight fly ash coarse from three different types ashes. In this study, effects binder content, water content and hot bath curing temperature on compressive strength blocks, as well impact value prepared ash-binder mixes were investigated. A relationship between also suggested predict based block. For making aggregate, it was found that with CaO 0.71%-3.85% requires higher than required 10.45%. resulting lightweight aggregates ashes have a compacted structure angular shape good interlocking. results mechanical properties test showed meets criteria Indian code specifications structural concrete aggregate.

Thermal Behaviour of Metakaolin/Fly Ash Geopolymers with Chamotte Aggregate
Geopolymers are generally appreciated for their good resistance against high temperatures. This paper compares the influence of thermal treatment with temperatures ranging from 200 to 1200 °C on the mechanical properties and microstructure of geopolymers based on two different aluminosilicate precursors, metakaolin and fly ash. Moreover, the paper is also aimed at characterizing the effect of c...
متن کاملPotential Use of Surfactant-Modified Zeolite for Attenuation of Trace Elements in Fly Ash Leachate
Large volumes of fly ash and other coal combustion products (CCPs) are produced every year by coal-fired power plants. About 50% of the CCPs produced in the U.S. is buried in impoundment lagoons or dry landfills. Fly ash is generally enriched in several potentially hazardous trace elements, such as As, B, Cd, Co, Cr, Mo, Se, Sr, and V, which can leach from older, unlined disposal sites. Therefo...
متن کاملCombine Use of Fly Ash and Rice Husk Ash in Concrete to Improve its Properties (RESEARCH NOTE)
This research paper describes the study of combined effect of Fly Ash (FA) and Rice Husk Ash (RHA) on properties of concrete as partial replacement of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). These by-products are having high pozzolanic reactivity. In this research, the composition of mix was used with 10% RHA along with 10, 20 and 30% FA as partial replacement of cement. In this study, the compressive ...
متن کاملCharacterization of CFB-Coal Fly Ash Zeolitic Materials and Their Potential Use in Wastewater Treatment
Two different fly ash (FA) samples were tested for their ability to give synthetic zeolitic products. Polish bituminous (PB) and South African (SA) coal fly ash (FA) samples, derived from pilot-scale circulated fluidized bed (CFB) combustion facilities, have been utilized as raw materials. The two FAs underwent a hydrothermal activation with 1M NaOH solution at 90°C for 24 h. Two different FA/N...
